European scientists and researchers have conducted a study which shows that sleeping more than nine hours a night is damaging to health, it can even be a sign of a serious illness. It followed more than a million people for 25 years and there were over 100,000 deaths worldwide.

Sleeping less than six hours daily is not recommended, excessive sleeping hours could cause serious problems in both cases can be a cause of major diseases and in individual cases even death.

In an adult to sleep six hours a day consistently is ideal, even 5 if it is intense and continuous, with ideal temperature and without noise. Lack of sleep, insomnia or anxiety, is more full-time workers and intensive, all this decline in sleep caused by social pace, does nothing but harm mental health slowly and shows according to surveys the relationship between lack of sleep and rest, with disease and premature death.

The nap, Spanish fashion has changed considerably in the social pace, it is recommended by doctors and therapists, but not in the ancient concept of pajamas and bed. It’s healthy few minutes, between 15 and 20 minutes in a chair or sofa, comfortable but sitting, not lying. This forces you to replenish and is a healthy habit, healthy for our body.

It is preferable to control the hours of sleep, and especially take care of the restorative quality of that time, in small details, temperature, quietness and comfort. Very important the mental part, I never go to bed angry, sad or upset, sleep better after laughing, humor is a vital factor for our rest.

Those of us lucky enough to work at home have discovered-often badly-there are dozens of things that hurt our job performance, causing not only take longer to perform a task but also affects our physical and mental health.

There are many variables to consider when working at home sitting in our “small home office”. Chairs, desks, computers, monitors and so on are some things to consider before setting up a home office and not die trying.

Let’s review some tips that are useful:

Chairs: for hours and hours at a computer working in an awkward position causing many injuries to our body, from digestion to bad back problems. It is best to spend what is necessary for our body to be comfortable and not suffering the ravages of both sedentary work. Good posture will make us pay more at the same time and even finished much better mood.

Wallpaper: Next to the desk chair is one of the great dilemmas facing a “home office”. Select the proper can take months, say from personal experience, but once we find one that is convenient and useful our daily work will suffer a 360 degrees. Some things to consider are the position of our legs, the corner where anger or monitors placed on the size of the keyboard tray (also ideal between mouse, etc.).

Computer & Monitors: Working with an old computer malfunctioning or general use can bring us more of a headache. It is best to upgrade to a newer or reformatting to make it “Limpita. The monitor is also very important, the bigger we will have less to do with comfort approach.

Lights: If we have a bright space congratulations. But need to resort to external artificial lighting as a good desk lamp.

Instant Messaging: here we talk about something non-physical but-much-affects our daily work. In my experience, I recommend to have closed the instant messengers such as Messenger, Skype and GTalk. These are a source of constant distractions and interruptions.

These are just some tips for working at home healthier, both physically and mentally.
