Dental hypersensitivity produces excruciating pain to a stimulus such as cold or heat, to get ice cream, drinking coffee, brushing himself, a food acid or other causes.

This hypersensitivity is caused by the tooth has a kind of pipe has a liquid into and contact with the outside world, experiencing a change in temperature, the liquid expands or contracts resulting in severe pain. For practical purposes it is produced by a cavity that destroys the enamel, or periodontitis, since the root of the tooth is in contact with the outside.Prevention through good oral hygiene will prevent the extreme sensitivity of the teeth against changes in temperature, so care must be taken both teeth and their supports, gums, said Dr. Francisco José Enrile, Chief of Clinic Enrile Huelva

Diagnosis is by detecting the cause, and if a tooth because the tooth is remedied by addressing hypersensitivity, but this has already led to a special sensitivity that will make in the months ahead even hypersensitivity symptoms remain. Then you need to avoid extreme cleanliness of the teeth, as there are people who exceed the brushing can damage the enamel and cause damage. Another thing to know about this dental cleaning, going to know that taking acid foods such orange juice, soda or some jam, it is best not clean their teeth immediately, as this would cause the acid to act on the enamel producing more harm than good.

People with oral health problems should see a dentist to correct dental problems such as oral disease can lead to other serious diseases in other parts of the body, and there are relationships between ischemic and mouth diseases, such as increased risk of myocardial infarction.

Hypersensitivity caused by orthodontic generates greater inconvenience, and it is important to wash the teeth with a fluoride toothpaste and a rinse liquid fluoride or with specific components hypersensitivity. The mouthwash is a way of giving a drug, and in cases of hypersensitivity were given some mouthwash with potassium nitrate, which is conducive to improving the sensitivity.

During the pregnancy of the woman to the proliferation of bacteria in the mouth with acid pH, and is a special time for oral health care for these women, so it is important to follow standard hygiene with some mouthwash. (DentalMundo)

Blockers are also placed in the area such as mechanical, resin, compomer, or other products that release fluoride, providing function and aesthetics.

Among the main causes that can trigger hypersensitive dental are dental fractures and microfractures, which expose them to the dentinal tubules (tiny tubes that form the structure of the teeth) responsible for carrying sensation to the teeth.

Among the most effective ways to combat dental hypersensitivity include toothpastes for sensitive teeth, causing them obliteration of dentinal tubules in a short period of time, thereby decreasing the dental hypersensitivity. There are also specialized for dental desensitizing being applied by the dentist in the dental office. The first preventive action is a thorough clinical examination to detect if ye remove factors that can cause dental pain such as active carious lesions, dental interference when closing the mouth, dental pulp infection among others.

It is very important that the dentist discard the changes mentioned above, in order to clearly identify the source of pain and thus treat it appropriately.

The first action to control the hypersensitivity is the daily use products that help to diminish one of the best ways to achieve this are laa sensitive toothpaste on the enamel of the teeth helps to block channels that make the sensitivity perceived.

Using mouthwash to rinse mouth after brushing teeth, you get better results.

A large number of patients respond well to initial treatment in the first four to six weeks, although it should be clear that this is an initial treatment and the most conservative so if the pain was not controlled proceed to other levels of treatment.

This is a condition that affects everyone at some point in their lives, this talk reflects the most interesting aspects of its etiology, and the mechanism by which it occurs.

The dental hypersensitivity is a sharp, brief pain sensation in response to various stimuli. These stimuli can be thermal (hot food or cold drinks), chemical (acids or sweet) or mechanisms (brushing, etc.).

It is estimated that one in four adults suffer from dental hypersensitivity, this affects patients between 25 and 45. However, there are certain risk groups: people who brushed their teeth vigorously, patients with gingival recession, those undergoing periodontal treatment, bulimic individuals with xerostomia, patients with severe malocclusion causing periodontal problems or abnormal exposure necks teeth.Although all the teeth are susceptible to hypersensitivity, the highest incidence occurs in premolars, which are the teeth brushed tend to be harder, and also causing abrasions on the necks of the teeth by the use of harsh bristle brushes.

There are several factors that predispose to hypersensitivity, this is when the dentine is exposed without polish in the neck, usually is in this place where dentinal tubules are exposed. There are several theories why the pain occurs on the teeth, one of them and most accepted theory Hydrodynamics wherein applying the stimulus generates a fluid movement through dentinal tubules, causing excitement in the unmyelinated fibers type C initradentales, causing pain.

The ages at which this disease affects 28% are between 16 and 24 years, 32% between 25 and 34 years, 36% between 35 and 44 years, 26% from 45 to 54 years, 12% of 55 onwards. This indicates that the human being with increasing age have a higher incidence of this problem. The best solution for this treatment is prevention, as providing a good brushing technique, using a soft brush, proper flossing, prevent and treat periodontal disease while poorly positioned teeth to prevent periodontal problems.

Periodontal disease, also known as periodontal, periodontitis or pyorrhea. it is an infection caused by bacteria that affects the gums, the lining of the roots of the teeth and causes wear and resorption of bone in which the roots are inserted.
It is the leading cause of loose teeth or loose teeth in adults because the root loses anchor, is loosened and then those teeth fall out.

Causes of Periodontitis

* Among the main causes of tooth loss is periodontal disease and cavities as possible to believe, in many cases it occurs as a result of improper dental hygiene. Brush teeth 4 times a day is not enough to prevent gingivitis or periodontitis, it is necessary to know how to use the brush and floss to prevent plaque formation.

* Uneven teeth are more difficult to thoroughly clean and therefore can also cause the onset of periodontal disease.

* Genetics may predispose to suffer gum problems, if any family member suffered tooth loss, loose teeth or loose teeth need to be cautious.

* Diabetes is also a risk factor, those with this disease often have gingivitis frequently and if not treated early by your dentist will change over time in Periodontitis.

* Other possible causes of periodontal disease may be the Bruxism, it is strongly pressed chewing or jaw during sleep.

* Smoking leads that may appear loose teeth or loose teeth, if this happens you should immediately consult a dentist to prevent tooth loss.

* Those who breathe through their mouth are more likely to get infections in the gums because the inside of the mouth is dry with air and this favors the growth of bacteria.

* Hormonal disorders influence the development of periodontal disease, such as pregnancy and menopause period of leave women more vulnerable and prone to bacterial infections.

If you are an adult and you notice a loose tooth or a tooth loose go to your dentist if the problem is recent you can save the part without removing it, probably also need a thorough cleaning to prevent further loosening the rest of the teeth.

There are various types of tooth fractures. The treatment and outcome for your tooth depends on the type, location, and severity of the fracture.

Fractured cusp

When a cusp (the most emphasized part of the chewing surface) becomes weakened, we sometimes results in a fracture. A weakened cusp may break by itself or can be removed by the dentist. Usually when this happens, the pain disappears.

A fractured cusp rarely damages the pulp, so root canal treatment is most likely not necessary. Usually the tooth is restored by your dentist with a full crown.

Cracked tooth

This type of fracture extends vertically from the chewing surface of the tooth to the root. Sometimes the crack may extend to below the gum line, and in severe cases, to the root. A cracked tooth is not completely separates into two distinct segments. Because of the position of the crack, damage to the pulp is common. Because of this you need a root canal treatment is often to treat the injured pulp. Then your dentist will restore your tooth with a full crown to bind and protect the cracked tooth. A rapid diagnosis is important. Even with high magnification and special lighting, it is sometimes difficult to determine the extent of a crack. A cracked tooth that is not treated progressively worsen, eventually resulting in tooth loss. A rapid diagnosis and proper treatment are essential treatment to help save your teeth.

Broken tooth

Often, a broken tooth is the result of long-term progression of a cracked tooth. The broken tooth is identified by a crack with distinct segments which can be separated. A broken tooth can never be intact. However, the position and extent of the crack will determine whether any portion of the tooth can be saved.

In very rare instances, endodontic treatment and a crown or some other restoration by your dentist, you can use to help save a part of your tooth.

Vertical root fracture

Vertical root fractures are cracks that begin at the root of the tooth and extend toward the chewing surface. They often have minimal symptoms and signs and may therefore go unnoticed for a while. Vertical root fractures are discovered when the surrounding bone and gum are infected.

Treatment usually involves removal of the tooth. However, surgery is sometimes appropriate and part of the tooth can be saved by removing the fractured root.

It is true that twice-born, but they have to last a lifetime. Today the answer to the questions that most concern about the care of teeth.

1. Is it inherited the bad teeth?
Although the child is the spitting image of one of their parents, would not inherit the quality of your teeth, be it good or bad. While parents and children can have the same arrangement of the jaw, this does not mean that children will suffer from dental caries of their elders.

Good habits, which have nothing to do with genetics, if they make healthy teeth. In the formation of cavities, for example, statements containing a micro-tartar, and sugar diet, which facilitates the destructive work of these, a third factor, the composition of saliva also plays an important role. In short, to get the boy have healthy teeth, parents should monitor their diet is correct and make good use of the toothbrush.

2. Can we do something during pregnancy?
It seems incredible, but true teething begins in the womb. In the tenth week of pregnancy starts the germination of the teeth and in the last quarter of the second dentition. This implies that is the mother who provides the raw material for the child’s teeth.

Therefore, pregnant women, should be taken at face value the recommendations on food they do gynecologists. The abundance of dairy products, mainly low-fat, plus a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals, will be a good seed to the teeth. It is conceivable that such an important element for the teeth such as fluorine can not be absent during pregnancy. However, while the mouth of a pregnant woman qualifies, just take out your child’s advantage.

3. What is the most suitable food for ?
For the formation of teeth are needed, especially calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin D and trace amounts of fluoride. If the baby takes solid food and a varied and balanced menu and a sufficient amount of fruits and vegetables, ensure that you not miss any of these essential nutrients.

It is also important that when the baby begins to put everything in their mouth, rubber toy was cool to go to train your gums. And, if possible, should take breakfast and snacks such as whole life. The white bread and sweet biscuits, which have an important place in children’s diets, can damage the teeth.

4. When should start to clean their teeth?
Why wait for the Tooth Fairy leave the ultimate gift for brand new toothbrush? The habits are not acquired for the overnight, so the child must know that, henceforth, the tooth brushing will be an integral task of the meal.

The first steps can make them with gauze or a cotton-tipped applicator once a day, preferably at night. For the moment should not put too much zeal in dental hygiene because tooth enamel that have just left is still very soft and sensitive. Moreover, at this age, saliva production is often very abundant and constitutes the best protection for teeth at the time.

5. When you need the first brush?
Between 18 months and two years children pay close attention to what adults do and repeat it. This is a perfect time to start cleaning seriously. However, this task should not be left to the boy because he has no sufficient motive force for good hygiene. The best thing that a parent of a review of the child’s mouth after guiding their work. But not forgetting that the kids were very upset that they gasped. Best ask open your mouth a minute after entering the brush can close the jaw and be easy to get to the bottom for cleaning.

6. What is the most suitable plane for a child?
The best brush for the beginnings must have a handle to grip, short head and bristles, if possible, fine and rounded ends to avoid damaging the gums. The part of the brush should be small so that the child can reach all teeth.

7. How to teach them to wash your teeth?
Most important is that parents lead by example. Of no use teaching, much emphasis is put on it, if children observe adults to skip every now and then a very important task. Moreover, for a guy, the best way to learn is to see how parents do. Do not forget to have such an important and useful as a stool or chair so that it looks in the mirror when you get down to work.

Now that summer comes, we all want to drink something cold, but many people are deprived of ice cream or a refreshing drink because they feel a painful sensation whenever you take something fresh.

It manifests as a localized sensation of pain (mild or sharp), especially when drink hot, cold, sweet or sour, this is what is called dentin hypersensitivity. This is a relatively common problem in dental practice consultation, is due to some disease, vigorous brushing, etc.., Gums recede exposing the cement and / or dentine (inner layer of the tooth) and teeth become more sensitive.

Thus, the usual lack of protection of the dentin allows different stimuli – such as heat, cold, or acidic foods or sweet-stimulate nerve endings inside the tooth and cause the sensation of pain. Why does this happen? The situation has many causes, such as wear of tooth enamel, periodontal diseases (such as gingivitis) that produce a receding gums, and even tooth whitening treatment.
