Cataract

A cataract is characterized by a clouding of the lens resulting in a decrease of view.

On the development generally slowly progressive, it is the cause of decreased vision more and more troublesome. Initially, the subject is hampered by an abnormal sensitivity to light (photo-phobia), most marked under strong light (sunlight or glare when driving at night) may be accompanied by reflex tearing.
