Cataract
A cataract is characterized by a clouding of the lens resulting in a decrease of view.
On the development generally slowly progressive, it is the cause of decreased vision more and more troublesome. Initially, the subject is hampered by an abnormal sensitivity to light (photo-phobia), most marked under strong light (sunlight or glare when driving at night) may be accompanied by reflex tearing. Eye Infections
Eye infections (conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, uveitis) represent a set of diseases of infectious, autoimmune, allergic or toxic respectively affecting the conjunctiva, cornea, eyelid and intraocular tissues (iris, ciliary body, choroid or retina).
Pathophysiology
The vast majority of eye infections are caused by exogenous bacteria, often transmitted Manuport or trauma, even minimal (lens wear, corneal surgery). Contamination may also have an original blood (CMV retinitis in an immunocompromised) or neurological (corneal herpes, ophthalmic zoster). Read the rest of this entry »
